A Different Light

Dear friends, photography followers and colleagues,
EXPOSURE+ PHOTO 2023 kicks off with an event-filled Opening Weekend and 20 exhibitions across Kuala Lumpur city centre. Planned to accommodate photography and art followers, we have a series of presentations and talks by industry professionals, opening parties, artists' gallery walkthroughs, portfolio reviews, workshops, night street projections and a photobook event. This year's theme of A Different Light brings us photo-projects by photographers from several countries including Malaysia, inspired to tell stories with new aproaches, unconventional narratives and strong visuals, selected from an international open call. We invite you to come and experience their efforts.
We'd like to involve and bring together photo and non-photo communities to discover the story-telling aspects of project-based photography in multiple locations in the city centre. We encourage the youth to join us on this journey. We love to see you in KL!

>21 - 24 SEPTEMBER 2023<
We are delighted to announce the 20 artists that have been selected to exhibit their projects at EXPOSURE+ PHOTO 2023 in Kuala Lumpur from 21 September to 1 October. Our selectors met over 2 weekends in late April to decide on the 164 submissions received in our 2nd edition Open Call. We would like to thank all photographers who submitted their projects for your support. These 20 projects were determined as best representing the theme for this festival with compelling personal stories and strong accompanying visuals. We can't wait to announce the 20 projects once they have been finalised shortly.
