LIM TZE YAN
Currently a BA Photography student of Manchester School of Art, Lim Tze Yan makes works within theories and concepts of photography and experiments with various photographic materials and the immaterial.
‘Project 3+1’ is a photo book project exploring the trauma and kinship of a family through cracks and fabrication in the domestic space. This series of works consist of composite images and written monologue, revealing a personal story of domestic violence during the MCO (Movement Control Order). It pictures the negative side of the theme, “Belong”, revealing how kinship, originally a form of bonding can also be the source of oppression.
A 3-minute process video will accompany this display.
