About the event
Dr. K Azril Ismail is a practitioner in photo-historical processes, particularly on the daguerreotype, the wet plate Collodion process; and the appropriated salt, albumen, and platinum prints. He holds a Doctorate in Philosophy from the University of Plymouth, UK for his visual photographic studies of Pudu Jail's graffiti. In recent times, he purchased an old ambulance and began converting it into a fully functioning darkroom so that he could share his know-how by bringing the darkroom to the people, so it seems. We are fortunate to have Azril drive his ambulance darkroom to GMBB on 27 February 2022 and share his thoughts about the converting process with a limited number of interested participants.
The mobile darkroom will be parked at the loading bay at the rear of the building.
