AISHA NAZAR
Aisha Nazar is a commercial, travel, and documentary photographer based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Her work traverses across visual documentation of cultural and social narratives that steer everyday life via a kaleidoscopic viewpoint.
She is a co-founder of Women Photographers Malaysia (WPM), a community-based platform advocating for women empowerment and gender balance within the photography industry in Malaysia. She is also an Alpha Guru represented by Sony Malaysia and the first-ever AirAsia Sony Joint Ambassador named in 2019.
The Family Archive
‘The Family Archive’ explores the concept of ‘Belong’ in terms of material possessions collected in a person’s lifetime. This series of still-life images breathe life into personal articles, substituting what makes a typical human portrait. Each still would be broken down into carefully selected and laid out items and is meant to represent every member of an immediate family.
