EXPLORING THE REVIVED PAST

This photowalk is about the appreciation of colour within our surroundings. Participants will be guided on how to ‘see’ and photograph scenes incorporating complementary and analogous colours in order to improve the artistry of their
photography. The walk will start from Bukit Bintang, covering the streets and back alleys to Jalan Pudu, and ends at BookXcess RexKL in the bustling Petaling Street area. The total distance covered will be just over 2km.
Participants will be asked to compile a selection of their favourite images and these will be shown during a photo review session four days later at BookXcess.
Azul Adnan is a freelance photographer and educator. His photos and articles have
been published in the media and his works have been exhibited at the National Art
Gallery Malaysia and exhibitions and festivals in London, Jeonju, North Carolina and
Zurich. He is a regular speaker at the Kuala Lumpur Photography Festival and has
been a panel judge for several photography competitions.
